CRUMBS ON THE COUNTER

Elle Beau! It’s been ages. Good to hear from you again.

In our last conversation, you challenged my assertion: “Nurture is nature.”

At that time, I was wary of discussing issues with you. I still am, but I will give it a try this time.

By the way, in a subsequent conversation with @SC, I did explain that assertion. If you are still curious, you will find it in this comment:

Here is the excerpt:

There are at least two choices.

  1. One can assume the monumental task of training the entire population to change their judgment concerning women’s responsibility for crumbs on the counter.

A woman can train 😎 herself to ignore the judges and critics.

I know which option I would find easier, more practical, and more expedient. I can only guess which option you would choose.

Choosing option #2, however, would be a step toward achieving option #1. If enough women adopted option #2, it would tend to thwart the critics and judges. What fun would it be for them to criticize women if they could not evoke the reaction they were hoping for?

It may provide you some relief to learn that I do not hold women responsible for crumbs on the counter. That is my contribution to the cause. You’re welcome.
