Your title was phrased as a question and I decided it warranted an answer 😎, even though it was probably a rhetorical question.

Your position is reasonable. You are entitled to select your entertainment. You are not answerable to anyone for your choices.

There is one criterion I consider when deciding which performances I will see: Does it entertain me? I find Shakespeare plays mildly entertaining. I attend one once in a blue moon.

There is one exception. I will sometimes seek out a performance or read a book because someone has told me that I shouldn't. If I hadn't already seen Taming, reading your article might have tempted me to make it a point to see it, or read it, where I might otherwise have ignored it.

If someone asked for my recommendation, I would tell them that I found it as mildly entertaining as any other Shakespeare.

You may be relieved to learn that seeing that play has not turned me into a misogynist.
