Who's hysterical?! I'm not hysterical! I'm NOT I tell you!!!!

ME? HYSTERICAL?

And where does this Orwell guy come into it. I'm perfectly capable of generating my own hysteria. Why should I share the credit with this Orwell guy? I demand that you give me full credit for the hysteria that I generate!

Product claims are not relevant. Rush Limbaugh, who is the subject of the article, was not making product claims. Trump claiming he won the election is not a product claim. The constitution does indeed protect one's right to claim that Trump won the election. Not every inaccurate claim is a lie. If the claimant believes the statement to be true then he is not being dishonest. With a few specific exceptions, the constitution protects one's right to make inaccurate statements even if they are outright lies.

You can even make false claims about a product as long as you are not selling the product. You can claim to have a pill that cures cancer, or covid, as long as you are not selling it.

I suppose if you could actually appoint yourself as ultimate arbiter of truth you would be a staunch advocate of free speech. Everyone would be free to express your opinion. All other opinions would be deemed to be "lies." If you wanted my opinion you would tell me what it is.
