“…men like you…”

There are no men like me. I am one of a kind.

And what makes you think I am “fighting equality?”

If “fighting equality” means that I recognize no obligation to conform my conduct, my thoughts, or the content of my conversations to Feminists’ expectations, then I suppose you can consider me as fighting equality.

If I am, then by your own words…

“Only when men like you stop fighting equality will it improve.”

…it will not improve.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I do not intend to start conforming my behavior to Feminists’ expectations. I would not benefit from doing so, despite your claims to the contrary.

You have explained what you believe is impeding the interests of women. You have verified my observation that the Feminist Movement aims to advance what its participants consider to be the interests of women. Why would you believe that any of the issues you cited are impeding my interests? What do you intend to do to remedy the concerns you cite? If your solutions involve coercive or restrictive measures to force my compliance, I will resist. If your interests conflict with mine, I will prioritize my best interests ahead of yours.

I have no interest one way or the other in how many elected officials are women. My interest is in choosing elected officials who support policies that I support. The official’s sex is irrelevant to me.

How many CEOs are named John? Or is that just a metaphor for male CEOs? I know there are exactly zero CEOs named Estwald, and there never will be. I have no interest in being a CEO. The sex of any particular CEO is irrelevant to me.

I choose movies, books, and other media that tell stories that entertain me. How lines are distributed is irrelevant to me.

If you can eradicate sexual harassment and violence, it will be a benefit to you, but not to me particularly. As long as your means of doing so do not impede my interests, I will not stand in your way. It is likely, however, that men will continue to aggressively pursue sexual access to women in any way that is available to them.

“…men and women should have equal social, political, and economic rights…”

That, in short, answers my original question: “Equality according to whom?” That defines equality according to you.

“I’m not going to debate you…”

I am not debating; I am describing my standpoint. I am not asking you to approve of it. If you believe my viewpoint is impeding the advancement of my interests, I will certainly consider what you have to say.

You have cited the issues you believe you must remedy to advance women’s interests as you define them. You have not described your proposed remedies or how those remedies would advance my interests.

“You can either be a part of the problem or a part of the solution — you choose.”

I choose neither.
