The words were intended to convey the absurdity of a need to sterilize boys to prevent "accidents," particularly those that we are glad have occurred. I shudder to think that I might have missed the opportunity to raise my daughter because I was reluctant to have children. Thank God for accidents.

Also, unless one or the other did not agree to unprotected sex, both men and women are responsible for unplanned pregnancies. Claiming that men are 100% responsible for all of them is another absurdity, and a self-serving one at that.
