“He abused young and talented woman…”

That Weinstein is a nefarious scoundrel goes without saying (so I didn’t say it — XD). He was pursuing sexual access to women, and he was doing so abusively. Pursuing sexual access and acting abusively are not mutually exclusive.

Weinstein was unattractive. Therefore, he experienced the ultimate scarcity. He responded by engaging in the ultimate aggressive pursuit, crossing the threshold into abuse.

Unable to attract women, he resorted to his one advantage, power and influence.

He was an obstacle to those who refused his advances. He helped those who gave in.

I characterized him as “foolish” because I needed a set-up for the line, “Weinstein is no Einstein.” That line would rate an XD. It goes with my smart-aleck nature.

I did some checking and found that you and I had a rather extensive conversation about Weinstein about four years ago. There is no point in repeating it. If you are interested, it starts with this comment

…and goes on for several more.
