I live in the northern snow county. Six inches of snow is a common occurrence. Less so in this particular location than in other places I've lived.
When I was in school, I was happy to see heavy snow in the afternoon; it meant no school tomorrow. I made a little pocket money shoveling for busy adults. My friends and I liked to push stuck cars out of the snow.
I've seen as much as three feet of snow. That's why I get a chuckle out of Al Roker's sensational reports of six inch snow storms.
