It is good to hear from you again, Lindz. We haven’t spoken since early March, just prior to the covid lockdown. I’m glad to see that, so far, you have survived the plague.
The line to which I was responding:
“Feminism is the radical notion that women are people.”
…from this article:
…seemed to be inviting a smart aleck retort, and that was about as smart aleck as I could manage before my first cup of morning coffee.
=====================================
I recognize no obligation to conform my conduct, my thoughts or the content of my conversations to Feminists’ expectations. Surely, you are not suggesting that that is preventing women from being people?
“Expectations like having equality…”
…equality according to whom?
As long as “having equality” does not include expecting me to conform my conduct, my thoughts or the content of my conversations to Feminists’ expectations, then I would not oppose your “having equality.”
“…changes that work for men and women?”
The question is: Are they changes that work for me? I will be the one to decide whether any advocated changes are likely to work for me, rather than leaving it up to Feminists to make that decision for me.
