"...if we had equality to begin with."

...equality according to whom?

In stating that I am "part of the problem," you are stating your opinion. You are entitled to your opinion, but it will not influence my attitude or conduct. I am not interested in winning your approval. Similarly, your perceived need for a feminist movement is your prerogative, but I am not obliged to participate.

After reading your linked article, I am not surprised to learn that some people use violence to get their own way. It is traditionally referred to as "bullying." Unfortunately, within a large population, such as the one of which we are members, a substantial portion of its members display weak and flawed character. Their behavior is often unacceptable. Those whose behavior plunges to the level of criminal activity should be confronted by the justice system and have the appropriate penalties imposed.

What the author, Chuck Derry, has overlooked is that most of the advantages that men gain through violence they can gain in other ways. For example, if I want a woman to cook for me (which I do), I would choose a woman who likes to cook (which I have) and show my appreciation when she does so. Perhaps Mr. Derry should consider that in his work with violent men.

I note that Mr. Derry makes his living working with violent men, which leads me to healthy skepticism regarding his objectivity.

You may be relieved to learn that I, myself, do not initiate violence, nor do I approve of others doing so. I fully support the efforts of law enforcement to apprehend those who initiate acts of violence.

"They are representative of our current society."

Violent people do not represent a particular society. They represent human character flaws. Engineering a different social structure is unlikely to cure human character flaws.

Is it even possible to engineer a social structure that meets prescribed specifications? Does anyone know how to manipulate the forces that produce social structure and achieve predictable results?

I am unconvinced that there is any value in exerting effort in an attempt to engineer a social structure with feminist ideology as its foundation. If the effort were successful, it would not eradicate the common human character flaws that provoke some individuals to bullying and other forms of violence.

You may continue to regard me as "part of the problem" if that is what you wish.
