I'd be a lot happier if there was a way to turn off the obnoxious music they force you to listen to when you are on hold.

One of the first things I do when someone finally answers the phone is to complain (calmly and politely) about the music.

Having been forced to listen to that music, I am in a crankier mood than I would have been otherwise.
