It is an effective debate tactic since it is difficult to characterize as “angry” and “defensive,” which is a characterization that Feminists often apply as a means of dismissing comments that challenge their ideology.
Its strength as a debate tactic is that it places the Feminist in a position of having to convince me that I am wrong, rather than me having to convince the Feminist of something. In practice it is rarely challenged by Feminists.
