I am pleased to have discovered what appears to be a loosely organized Community of the Betrayed here on Medium.

I am surprised to learn that so many others' experiences were similar to mine.

My betrayal took place over a 10 year period. Finally, my former wife flew the coup to be with her affair partner. Their relationship lasted several months until he cheated on her.

I was lucky. In less than a year, I met the woman I have been with for the last thirty years.

I am grateful to my former wife. I would never have cheated or dismantled my family as she did; it's against my principles. I am thankful she did not have the same principles because her actions allowed me to meet my current wife. We are very happy together. If my former wife had the same principles as I did, my current wife and I would never have found each other.

I am writing a story describing the ten year ordeal. I will publish it on Medium when it is finished.
