I am not subscribed to any entertainment services. I don’t even have cable TV; I use an antenna. I get most of my video entertainment buying discs at used book sales and garage sales, or borrowing from the public library. I also read science fiction novels.

My interest in stories that involve supernatural events is limited. One exception is Ursula Le Guin’s Earthsea trilogy. I was enticed by the idea of a system of magic that is internally consistent, parallel to the consistency of physical laws in the real world.

The movie you suggested has an interesting premise, friendship between a demon and an angel. It reminds me of the classic cartoon where an angel is sitting on one shoulder and a demon on the other, each giving contrary advice to the person whose shoulders they are sitting on.

It looks promising in the trailer. I will keep it in mind; it will eventually turn up at one of the sales. I might also put the novel on my list, a list that is already longer than my anticipated life span.

My interest tends to focus on the older writers, Isaac Asimov, Robert Heinlein, Arthur C. Clarke, etc.

I, myself, am a science fiction character from an Asimov novel, that’s how potent the brew I drink is:
