I agree completely. That is my sentiment as well. However, I can't make others adopt that attitude.
My comment was reporting my observation, callin' as I see it. I was not endorsing anything.
Trafficking is a scourge. But there are awful people in this world who will do awful things to satisfy perverted lusts. Unfortunate but true.
Years ago, I was involved in a rewarding relationship with a woman who had been a sex worker. She was primarily an exotic dancer. Judging from the stories she told me, it was likely that her work included acts that crossed the line into prostitution.
I could tell that she had experienced a good deal of emotional pain. She was still using alcohol to numb her pain. I don't think she was well suited for that kind of work. She wandered into my life when I was experiencing a dark period. She was kind and sweet and brought me joy. I tried to inspire her and distract her from her troubles.
I'm writing a Medium story about that era. It includes a more detailed account of our relationship.
