For the third time: I have not claimed otherwise. I have never claimed that a consciousness can exist independent of a body. I agree with you one hundred percent on that issue. You need not repeat it.
I am not referring to personalities or life circumstances. I am referring to self-awareness and the receiver of experience. Your experience may be different, but it is you who is doing the experiencing. I am not claiming that a consciousness survives a dead body and transposes to a new body. I am speculating that a new body includes a new consciousness and it could be you who experiences that new consciousness. After all, someone has to. Why not you?
Of course it is unsubstantiated; there is no way to substantiate it. Also, there is no way to substantiate that you cannot experience consciousness more than once. It is speculation either way. I have consistently identified it as speculation in each of my comments. It is rational speculation. It does not rely on superstition or spirituality.
If you experience consciousness in a new body, you would be an entirely different person. There would be no connection to any previous experiences. There would be no possibility of "remembering" a previous life. Those memories would have died with the body of which they were a part.
There is nothing you have stated with which I disagree. We are talking about two different things. You are refuting claims that I am not making. I agree with what you are saying.
Unfortunately, the concept that I am attempting to convey is incredibly abstract. The English language lacks the vocabulary to clearly express my intended meaning. I am, however, trying my best.😎
