Congratulations on publishing a book and on achieving a living income as a professional writer. That is quite an accomplishment! Many have tried and few have succeeded.
I don't believe I could write a book, but I do like to read them. What is the topic of your book?
I'll find some of your Medium articles and give them claps. If I'm not mistaken, your payment is based on the number of claps you get.
It is good to see that you are facing your fears and doing what you need to do.
The first dose of Moderna may or may not cause mild shoulder soreness for a short while. The second has a little kick to it. It will likely cause mild symptoms like some mild aches and fatigue (no worse than what you might get from a vigorous exercise session). The symptoms will probably will kick in between 12 and 24 hours after your shot and last about that amount of time. Don't take any aspirin, acetaminophen, or ibuprofen, they will interfere with your developing immunity. The symptoms are mildly uncomfortable, but bearable. When it's all over you'll be glad you did it.
The needle might feel like a slight pin prick, or you might not feel it at all. It mostly depends on the individual who gives it to you. I usually look the other way when I'm getting a shot.
I have held up well under quarantine. I tend to be reclusive anyway. We live in a small community and can walk most places outdoors without a mask, since there are not many people about. I carry a mask in my pocket in case I need to go indoors.
So, stay well, stay safe and when your turn comes face your fear and get it done. It will be over before you know it.
