...and I asked her if she misspelled "golden." And she didn't block me. I'd have to think pretty hard to come up with a decent smart-alec retort to "pea-brain." I'd probably use one that I've used several times before. To wit:

"I don't mind being the recipient of an occasional gratuitous insult. But I expect the insult to be original and creative. I won't accept a tired old insult that's been used thousands of times. You can do better, and I expect you to from now on."

"If you don't show some improvement, I'll have to return your insult and demand a refund. I may have to take my business elsewhere. You're not the only insulter, you have plenty of competition."

She must have been in some kind of mood. I'd mention something about a monthly event, but some of the feminists would not be happy if I did. Fortunately, it is unlikely any of them will read this.
